NYU Langone Health is proud to participate in this year’s virtual Veteran’s Day march. We strive to recruit and retain veterans because they represent our values: Excellence, Diversity, Respect, Integrity and Performance. Our Veteran Employee Resource Group meets quarterly and aids in our recruitment initiatives, provides veteran wellness programs, and recently started a veteran mentorship program for newly hired veterans. In the past 12 months our veteran hires have doubled.
Additionally, our commitment to the veteran community is demonstrated in our clinical practice. We support service members and their families through a variety of healthcare programs and services, including the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Center at NYU Langone Health, which provides free, compassionate care for veterans and military families who are experiencing the long-term effects of all phases of military service and other life stresses, such as relationship difficulties, school problems,
unemployment, and relocation issues. These services are also offered to members of the National Guard as well as military reservists. We offer high quality, accessible, and integrated mental healthcare. Our free, confidential services are available in-person or through our Telemental Health Program, which is available to patients in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
We are proud to support our veterans today and every day and thank them for their service to our country. Call 855-698-4677 for more information.
